Suzie Keck

Suzie Keck

Suzie is a Speech Pathologist who began working in Central Victoria in 1990. Before commencing her own private practice, she worked in the public health service in early intervention, school settings, and in a private practice in Melbourne. She has worked with adults in acute hospital settings, rehabilitation and in nursing homes. She also worked for a number of years in early intervention and in community based teams. Suzie has a special interest in communication and swallowing disorders of neurological origins, as well as literacy and developmental delays.

Aleshia Evans

Aleshia Evans

Aleshia joined Bendigo Speech Works at the beginning of 2017. She currently works with children with a variety of communication difficulties including those with delays in speech, language and social skills. Aleshia is currently involved in running an oral language program in 2 kindergartens as well as providing services to children with developmental delay, Autism Spectrum Disorder and Intellectual Disability. Aleshia has a special interest in working with children to support their ability to communicate in a wide range of settings. Aleshia’s hobbies outside of work include playing sport, reading and enjoying good food.

Simone Fraser

Simone Fraser

Simone joined the Bendigo Speech Works team in 2018. She has over 10 years - experience working with school aged children and teenagers in both mainstream and special school settings. Simone has worked in Melbourne, London and in the greater Bendigo area to support students with speech, language and communication needs. Simone has a passion for developing oral language and early literacy skills using evidence-based approaches. When she is not working, Simone enjoys spending time with family and friends and is a keen dancer.

Eliza Boyd

Eliza Boyd

Eliza joined Speech Works in 2019. She has recently returned to Bendigo after a period in Melbourne, and Maryborough. She has experience working with both adult and paediatric clients in community health, hospital and school settings. Special interests include speech sound disorders, developmental language delay, and swallowing and language disorders across the lifespan. When not working, Eliza enjoys spending time with family and friends and completing art projects.

Rachel Fletcher

Rachel Fletcher

Rachel is a recent graduate in speech pathology with previous placement experiences in regional hospitals and community health settings with a diverse range of people. Rachel has experience working with children and adults with Disability through her work as a teacher’s aide and support worker. Rachel is interested in working with children and adults with a range of needs from speech and language difficulties, AAC and swallowing safety. In her spare time Rachel enjoys spending time with friends and family, eating out at restaurants and going to live music.

Janine Pittock

Janine Pittock

Janine studied Speech Pathology as a mature-aged student to follow her interest and passion in supporting people with communication difficulties. Janine is passionate about providing practical strategies and tools to assist people whose independence and function is impacted by their communication or intellectual difficulties. Janine has worked with individuals across all ages, and has particular interests in swallowing, literacy and Augmentative and alternative communication. When Janine is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family and umpiring netball.

Hansi Fernando

Hansi Fernando

After completing her Master of Speech Pathology at La Trobe University, Hansi worked in Robinvale with people from culturally and socio-economically diverse backgrounds. Hansi has worked with people of all ages in different settings including Community Health, hospital, school and early childhood settings. Hansi has special interests in working with fluency (stuttering), swallowing management and language disorders. Outside of work, Hansi enjoys spending time with her family, friends and dog.

Currently on maternity leave.
Olivia joined Speech Works in 2017. She returned to Bendigo after a period in Melbourne.
